Patty Jewett Neighborhood Food Project

For 11 years, volunteers in the Patty Jewett neighborhood have collected food and monetary donations for Care and Share, the Food Bank for Southern Colorado, bimonthly through the Patty Jewett Neighborhood Food Project (PJNFP).

We are always looking for more Patty Jewett households to join us in working with Care and Share to create a future Southern Colorado that will be hunger-free!!

How it works

  • Let us know you're interested!
  • On the 2nd Monday of odd-nummbered months (January, March, etc.), place food and/or monetary donations on your porch by 9 AM.
  • PJNFP sends two email reminders leading up to each collection day.
  • PJNFP volunteers collect donations and deliver them to Care and Share.
  • Any changes to the schedule are communicated in advance.
  • Email info@pattyjewettneighborhood.com if you’ll be out of town or want to skip a month.

Care and Share provides food, partnering opportunities, and education to fight hunger and food insecurity in Southern Colorado communities.

  • Oatmeal
  • Pre-packaged snacks
  • Boxed dinners

Food Donations

  • No opened or expired foods
  • No fresh or frozen perishable foods
  • No homemade items
